Biography
Barbara Pioselli currently works as preclinical R&D senior scientist at Chiesi Pharmaceuticals in Parma (Italy). She is head of the Biomolecules structural characterization unit. She earned a degree in medicinal chemistry and technologies from the University of Parma (Italy) and a Ph D in bio-chemical sciences from the University of Turin (Italy). She completed her post-doctoral works at the Centre of Excellence in Mass Spectrometry (University of York, UK) and then at the University of Parma. Since 2009, she works in the preclinical R&D, Analytics and Early Formulations department at Chiesi Pharmaceuticals. Her main research interests are related to peptide and protein structure-function relationship. Current projects deal with the use ofspectroscopy (UV-vis and fluorescence) and mass spectrometry techniques (ion mobility and HDX-MS) to elucidate protein conformations, protein stability and protein-ligand interactions.
