Amalia Crescenzio

Biography

Amalia Crescenzio, Chief Compliance Officer, is responsible for establishing and maintaining the company’s internal compliance programme. After graduating with a degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Bari, she spent a short period of time working as a laboratory assistant for the same University before entering the pharmaceutical field where to date she has gained extensive experience working in various capacities for several national and international organisations. Crescenzio began her career as a pharmaceutical representative, moving on to Quality Assurance, in both distribution and production, and subsequently taking on the role of Country Quality Specialist in Amgen’s international team. Later she assumed the position of Healthcare Compliance Manager, initially for Italy, and subsequently for several other European countries. Following this she joined the Celgene Corporation in Switzerland, taking up the post of European manager as Senior Director, EMEA Healthcare Compliance and Audit.
