Biography

Paolo Patri, Chief Manufacturing Officer, is responsible for managing the Manufacturing Division which is based at the production site in L’Aquila, the spearhead of the company’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology production. He graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Milan, and has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, both in production and in the development of pharmaceuticals and biotech. He has held various positions at different international organisations, including Cambrex Profarmaco, where he was Production Manager of the Milan site, and Johnson & Johnson, where he worked as Senior Quality Assurance Manager, External Manufacturing. Patri then moved on to Chiesi Farmaceutici where, from 2008, he held the role of Global Head of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) in Research & Development; and in November 2015 he became Managing Director of Zymenex A/S Holding, a Chiesi Group company specialising in the development and production of recombinant enzymes for the treatment of rare genetic diseases.
