Biography
Jiansan Jia, deputy director of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Department at the United Nations, President of Tahiti Nui Ocean Foods Wang Cheng and President of French Polynesia Edouard Fritch walk at the entrance of the future aquaculture project on the Hoa atoll in the Tuamotu Archipelago in French Polynesia on May 6, 2015. The Polynesian government and a company funded by Chinese investors, Tahiti Nui Ocean Foods, laid on May 6 the first stone, a rock of fifteen tons brought to the Hao atoll by boat, of a large aquaculture project. Tahiti Nui Ocean Foods, a subsidiary of China's Tian Rui Group, plans to invest 1.5 billion dollars in the project, with a target annual production of at least 50,000 tons of lagoon fish in 2,800 cages.
