Luca Pizzoni

Biography

Holding a first-class degree in Dentistry and Dental Prostheses, he then specialized in Orthodontics, before starting on a clinical career gaining significant experience at the Royal Dental School of the University of Aarhus (Denmark) and at the San Raffaele Hospital, Milan. Since 1999, he has been Contract Professor of Periodontology on the Degree Course of Dental Surgery and Dental Prostheses and subsequently the Degree Course in Dental Hygiene, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan. Since 2002, he has been head of the Orthodontics and Children’s Dentistry Division in the Department of Dentistry of the Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute – University of Milan. He is Chairman of SIBOS, the Italian Society of Biomechanics and Segmented Orthodontics, of which he had previously been Cultural Secretary, and he is a full member of SIDO, SIdP and EOS. He has given papers at national and international conferences and held numerous courses at Italian and foreign universities. He is the author of publications in national and international journals and he is a member of the Reading Committee of Mondo Ortodontico e Ortognatodonzia Italiana.
