Roberto L. Weinstein

Biography

Full professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan, he is the Director of the Department of Dentistry at the Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute and Director of the Inter-University Centre for Medicine and Bio-engineering. He was formerly head of the Degree Course in Dental Surgery and Dental Prostheses and also Special Commissioner of the Institute of Tumours in Milan. The author of over one hundred and twenty scientific articles published in national and international journals, of text books and audiovisual material, he has lectured and lectures in Italy and abroad. He is the holder of COFIN funds and of funds for the purchase of major scientific equipment. Past President of the Italian Society of Periodontology, he is a founder and past president of the Italian Society of Dentistry for the handicapped. He is an active member of the European Association for Osseointegration and founder of the Italian Society of Geriatric Dentistry.
