Biography

Mr. Shaun KhooGleneagles Penang - Hospital Of Choice & The first private hospital in Penang Island Mr. Shaun Khoo Mr. Shaun Khoo went on to pursue his subspecialty training in Surgical Oncology in University of Pittsburgh, USA. His particular expertise focuses on the multi-modality treatment and oncological resections of thyroid, breast, soft tissue sarcoma, colon and rectal cancers. This includes neoadjuvant radio-chemotherapy, sentinel node biopsies, nodal basin dissection, laparoscopic resections, intra-operative regional chemo-perfusion and palliative surgery. For general surgery, Mr. Shaun Khoo provides surgical treatment for gallbladder diseases, hernias, excision of subcutaneous lesions, stapler hemorrhoidopexy and chemotherapy port placement. For endoscopy, he performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy. He is an advocate for evidence based colonoscopy surveillance to detect early colorectal cancers. He has a strong interest in colonic stenting for curative and palliative colorectal cancer.
