Biography
Medical Director Southern Europe at GSK Consumer Healthcare Medical Doctor, with a post-degree Specialization in General Surgery and more than 25 years of both clinical and industry experience. Author of more than 30 papers, on different topics (autoimmune diseases, rheumatology, dermatology, infectious diseases, general surgery, oncology, angiology, metabolism), published on peer-reviewed journals and with more than 50 oral presentations in main Congresses and Medical Conferences. As Medical, in Pharmaceutical Companies, I have always been attracted by new challenges and opportunities. Since the beginning, the diversification of the involved business in different pharma and biotech companies including the management of several therapeutic areas as Immunology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Virology, Endocrinology, Metabolism, Pain, Gynaecology, CNS, Pneumology, Antiinfectives, Cardiovascular and Thrombosis, provided me the opportunity to build on my skills in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Strategic Planning and People Management, acquiring a broad experience in several therapeutic areas and a strong expertise especially in Immunology/Biologic products field. Leading the Medical, Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information activities across the GSK Consumer Healthcare portfolio within Southern Europe and FAMAG (Francophone Africa and Maghreb) Management of Southern Europe Medical Team, leading Medical Governance for Southern Europe Area. Leading provision of scientific information, supporting the Team on product information, claims, promo practices, clinical research and future GSK CH strategies. Leadership and oversight of Scientific Engagement in Southern Europe and FAMAG. Member of Leadership Team Italy. Member of Extended Leadership Team Southern Europe. Member of European Medical Affairs Leadership Team.
