Biography
Elisabetta Munzone European Institute of Oncology, Milan, Italy Elisabetta Munzone, MD, is Deputy Director at the IEO, Division of Medical Oncology. She is a clinician and researcher with major interest in breast cancer, melanoma and CNS tumours. Dr Munzone earned her MD at the Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy. She is an active member of ASCO. Dr Munzone's research interests are focused on new strategies for the treatment of advanced breast cancer such as the "metronomic" administration of continuous low dose chemotherapy in collaboration with basic researchers with the aim to explore possible antiangiogenic mechanisms of this approach.
