Biography
Andrzej Dercz (1951) studied mechanical engineering and power engineering at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland. After ten years in the Katowice steelworks where he was in charge of thermal processes in the on-site power station and in the research department, he was entrusted with the task of supervising the commissioning and operation of cement plants in Iraq and Egypt. In 1990, the ILF office in Munich asked him to join the gas engineering department. In 1998, he founded the ILF office in Warsaw, Poland, and he has been acting as its managing director ever since. Furthermore, he is the Group Director of the Energy & Climate Protection business area where he contributes his extensive experience. Andrzej Dercz is married and has two grown-up daughters. For relaxation, he reads books and enjoys time in the garden or in the swimming pool.
