Biography
Bernhard Schleich (1960) completed his civil engineering studies at the ETH in Zurich in 1986. After working as an assistant at the Institut für Grundbau und Bodenmechanik, in 1988 he joined Emch+Berger AG in Switzerland, as a project manager for foundation engineering and tunneling projects. In 1991, he took on responsibility for the design of the Potzdamer Platz regional station in Berlin. In 2001, he moved to the construction company Marti AG in Switzerland, where he was in charge of performing the site management services for the southern section of the Lötschberg Base Tunnel. As a member of the group executive board he was responsible for building and expanding the company’s international business relations. In 2013, Bernhard Schleich joined ILF and was appointed Regional Group Director and placed in charge of a number of ILF companies around the globe. Bernhard Schleich has two grown-up daughters, and in his limited spare time, he is a passionate horseman, skier, and mountaineer.
