Biography

Ms. Charu Modi is well known entrepreneur from India and is one of the promoter of K.K. Modi Group, a multibillion dollar Group with interests that span across a diverse range of businesses; namely agrochemicals, tobacco, tea and beverages, education, entertainment, direct selling, cosmetics, retail, fashion, luxury and gourmet restaurants. She is also the Vice Chairperson and CEO of the Modi Academic International Institute and Executive Director, Indofil Industries Limited.Having studied at some of the best educational institutions such as the Lady Shriram College, New Delhi and Thunderbird – The American Graduate School of International Management, USA, where she acquired an MBA degree, Charu Modi understood the need to introduce international level education in India in order to equip the youth to compete at a global level even while she was pursuing her own education. And accordingly, she chose her path to concur with her profound interest in academics and a vision of imparting the best education to Indian students, right here, in their own country. In depth knowledge and strong interest in academics gave her the ability to envision a future wherein the finest global education was easily accessible by deserving Indian students. A complete go-getter and achiever, who believes in translating her aspirations into reality, at present, she is heading the educational initiative of the Group and has established world-class institutions in India in collaboration with leading international academic bodies. Charu Modi continues to pursue higher academic specialization in her area of expertise and her constant quest is to effectively blend the Indian ethos of learning with the Western system of education.
