"1. Study specific protein expression profile of microorganism of clinical and pharmaceutical interest by advanced proteomics. 2. Structural and functional characterization of molecules with potential biological activity. 3. Study of the role of trans retinoic acid (ATRA) on the biogenesis and activity of complex I of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, in human keratinocytes. 4. Proteomic characterization of the nasal mucosa cells of patients affected by various forms of rhinitis. 5. Study of the expression profile of fibroblasts from patients with Parkinson's Disease for identification of proteins associated with the pathologic state. 6. Study of cellular metabolism in the processes of proliferation, differentiation and cell death, with particular reference to mitochondrial functions.
