Papa Ester

Biography

Dr. Ester Papa is a researcher in environmental chemistry at the University of the Inservice of Varese since 2008. His research is conducted in the "QSAR Unit in Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology" by Prof. Paola Gramatica, at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Sciences. Ester Papa graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Insubria (2001) and at the same university he completed his doctoral studies in "Analysis, Protection and Management of Biodiversity" under the supervision of Prof. Paola Gramatica 2006). She was visiting a student at John Moores University (Liverpool, UK) under the supervision of Dr. Mark Cronin TD (2004) and at Umeå University (Umeå, Sweden) under the supervision of Dr. Patrik Andersson (2005). From 2005 to 2008 he was post-doctoral fellow at the University of Insubria to study various aspects of the toxicity and properties of pollutants adsorbed on atmospheric particulate matter. Since 2007 his didactic activity has included ecotoxicology courses, risk assessment, environmental chemistry and chemometry, as well as supervising three-year undergraduate, master, graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral students from both Italy and abroad. In the two-year period 2014-2016 she has been on leave for research and study at the "Interfaces Traitements Organization and DYnamique des Systèmes" (ITODYS) laboratory at Paris Diderot University (Paris 7, France). Dr. Papa is the author or co-author of over 50 publications on international scientific journals (ISI), and has presented over 150 scientific contributions (invitation presentations, oral presentations and posters) to national and international congresses in chemistry environment and computational chemistry (SETAC, MESAEP, EuCheMS, SCI, SITE, QSAR, CMTPI etc.).
