Biography
Franco Prati received Ph.D. from the University of Zurich in 1992. From 1994 to 1996 he held a post-docship at the University of Milan. In 1996 he became a researcher at the Como University of Milan. He is currently associate professor at the Università dell'Insubria in Como. Since 1989 he has participated in several research projects funded by the European Union in the field of Information Technology, as well as two PRINs and other INFM and CNR projects. He has done research mainly in the study of temporal instability and the formation of space structures in nonlinear optical devices. He is author of more than 70 publications on international journals with referee.
