Biography
I like very much to read and listen to music in my free time. Book wise I like novels but also essay on several subjects, from geopolitics to anthropology and history, macro-economy. Albeit born in Rome, I spent most of my childhood in a small town in Emilia-Romagna, Dozza Imolese, to which I like to come back every now and then. After doing high school and university in Rome I came to Trieste for my PhD. Here I meet a most influential person in my life, my supervisor Dennis Sciama. Then my work lead me to live for three years in Washington DC. I loved the town and the USA. Then I came back to SISSA as an assistant professor and later and associate professor. Nowadays, I spend my time between two countries, Italy and England, and albeit it is sometime tiresome I also enjoyed it very much.
