Biography
Scientist with 15 years experience in neurodegeneration, including significant line management, networking and project leadership experience. He have worked in all preclinical phases of the drug discovery process, with a focus on target/mechanism validation and preclinical PoC development. Interests: protein misfolding diseases (Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease), post-translational modifications, Wnt signalling. He obtained a B.Sc.in Biology at UCL in 1989 (First Class Hons) and a D.Phil. in molecular biology in the group of Prof. Chris Graham (FRS) at the University of Oxford in 1993, with a Cancer Research Campaign studentship. Post-doctoral fellow in the same group until 1995 discovering a role for the Wilms' tumour protein WT in post-transcriptional regulation.
