Biography
Dr. Alberto Piatti was appointed today by the SUPSI Council as the new director of the Department of Education and Learning (DFA). It will be operational on 1 September 2017 and will take over from Prof. Michele Mainardi. Alberto Piatti, 1977, graduates in mathematics at the Zurich Polytechnic and holds a doctorate at USI at the Faculty of Economics. Since 2010, he has been a member of the DFA Board of Management, where he has been responsible for training as a whole and a teacher in mathematics. Between 2001 and 2009 he was a professor of middle school, contract professor at USI and lecturer-researcher at the SUPSI Innovative Technology Department. Thanks to her deep knowledge of the Ticino school system as well as the national and international academic landscape, Alberto Piatti will be able to lead the DFA in the continuity of the positive work he has done over the past four years, and thus consolidate, in agreement with DECS , the decisive role of SUPSI as part of the major development projects planned within the Ticino school.
