1992-1997: Undergraduate fellowship from the Scuola Normale Superiore Pisa, Italy 1997: Laurea (MSc) in Physics from the University of Pisa, Italy. Supervisor: Prof. M. P. Tosi 2004: PhD in Physics from the Scuola Normale Superiore Pisa, Italy. Supervisors: Prof. F. Beltram and Dott. V. Tozzini. Title of the thesis: "Molecular Mechanisms of Green Fluorescent Protein Photophysics".
