Biography

Maria Di Bartolomeo, who is responsible for the simple structure of Gastroenterologic Oncology, graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1985 at the University of Chieti. Specializing in Medical Oncology at the Catholic University of Sacro Cuore - "Agostino Gemelli" Clinical Center in Rome in 1989 and Endocrinology at the University of Milan in 1994. In 1989 he started his work at the National Cancer Institute in Milan as a researcher . From April 1999 is Senior Medical Manager at the Department of Medical Oncology B of the National Cancer Institute of Milan, now called the Complex Foundation OM1 Foundation IRCCS Institute of Tumors. His research activity is aimed at the study and treatment of gastrointestinal tumors and neuroendocrine tumors and is documented by numerous publications on prestigious national and international scientific journals.He is a member of the national and international cancer research companies, such as the Italian Society of Medical Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the European Society of Medical Oncology. He is a founding member and founder of the Study Group called ITMO (Italian Trials in Medical Oncology), which aims at multicentre research in Medical Oncology, which has among its aims to provide patients with qualified assistance at public facilities in their area of ​​residence.
