Biography
Massimo Di Nicola obtained his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1987, he continued his training at National and Foreign Clinical and Research Institutes, reaching the National Institute of Tumors (INT) in Milan in 1990. From 2000 to 2006 he held the position of Head of Functional Unit : "Cryopreservation and quality control of hematopoietic stem cells for autotransplantation". From 2006 to 2013 he served as Vice-Director of the Division of Medical Oncology 2 at the INT of Milan and then assumed the role of the Head of the Structure of Tumor and Therapeutic Therapies Clinical Immunotherapy which still covers. He is a professor at the School of Specialization in Medical Oncology at the University of Milan, In the clinical field, patients with lymphoproliferative syndromes (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia) have been involved in the treatment of solid tumors (breast, ovarian, testicular, melanoma) by anticancer treatments at conventional doses or high doses with autologous transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells.
