Roberto Boffi

Biography

Annual lectures at the Nursing School of the National Cancer Institute for lessons concerning smoking and its health damage; at the School of Specialization in Medical Oncology of the University of Milan, on the treatment of pneumonia and on the prevention, evaluation and treatment of respiratory symptoms during oncological treatments; At the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Milan, General Pathology Course, on Smoking and Pulmonary Cancer; To the Oncologic Lecture Lecture Course of the University of Milan on subjects related to respiratory rehabilitation; to the Master of Science in Communication of SISSA Trieste, on primary prevention in the field of pneumology. Scientific Co-author of "Omnia Medicina - Family Encyclopedia for the Family", De Agostini MultiMedia Ed., 1999. Scientific Advisor currently in the magazines "OK Salute" and "Men's Health" and radio broadcast "Being and Well Being" on Radio 24. Contributor since 2001 of the "Le Iene" television program for the design and implementation of initiatives and films on environmental education and the prevention of active and passive smoke damages.

Research Interest

"The School of Health" ( www.lascuoladellasalute.it ). It is a secondary school project that was born from the collaboration between the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the IRCCS National Cancer Institute and the Chiamamilano Association. Initiatives of the initiative are the Zucchi Liceo of Monza, the Machiavelli Institute of Pioltello and the Liceo Agnesi of Milan. At these schools, a pilot intervention involving teachers and students in an innovative training course on tobacco, nutrition, indoor and outdoor air quality, based on meetings and didactic laboratories with doctors and experts. The aim of the project was to develop a motivational and effective learning pathway for the health and the correct lifestyles among the children, proposing it as an instrument for both food and environmental education and the fight against cancer, with regard to Prevention of school age smoking and smoking disassociation.
