Biography
Francesco obtained a BA with honors in 1980 majoring in Economics at the University of California in Santa Barbara, and developed his career in the private equity and asset management fields. More recently he founded, with other partners, one of the first funds of hedge funds management companies in Italy, and presently runs Astor Investment Advisors SIM, a thematic asset allocation advisory concern dedicated to hedge funds and institutional clients. All along his career actively invested in about 20 startups as an Angel Investor, making his first such investment at age 25. He is currently Honorary Chairman of Italian Angels for Growth, with over 120 members the largest angel group in the country he co-founded in 2007
