Ann L. Lee

Biography

Ann L. Lee is our Executive Vice President of Technical Operations. Prior to joining Juno in 2017, Dr. Lee was Senior Vice President and Global Head of Pharma Technical Development for Roche Genentech. In this role, she provided end-to-end technical development for biologics, small molecules, devices, drug delivery, packaging, analytical and QC, new technology development, quality assurance, clinical supplies manufacturing and supply chain management, CMC project and portfolio management, CMO management, business excellence and manufacturing science and technology support for the R&D pipeline and commercial products — from discovery, research, development to launch, commercialization, and line extensions — with a team of 2,600 scientific and technical professionals. Previously, Dr. Lee worked at Merck & Co., Inc., where she held several leadership positions in vaccine development in Merck Research Laboratories, and she led the chemical technology and process engineering organization in Merck Manufacturing Division. Dr. Lee holds a BS degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University, and a Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Sciences from Yale University. She is an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering and Fellow of the Academy of Arts and Sciences. Over the course of her career, she has contributed to the successful development and commercialization of 22 medicines and vaccines.
