Biography

Aldo Laganà is full professor of Analytical Chemistry since 2002. At present is Head of the Chemistry Department of University of Rome “La Sapienza” (2003-), Vice-president of the Executive Board of the Analytical Chemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society (2013-), Vice-president of Consorzio Sapienza Innovazione (2012-), and Representative of Sapienza University of Rome in the Board of Directors of the Spin-off "ECO RECYCLING" S.r.l. (2008-). He has been Member of Board of Directors of University of Rome “La Sapienza” (2006-2013), Coordinator of the “Commission of High Advice on the Nuclear Energy” at the Ministry of the Environment and of the Tutelage of the Territory and of the Sea (2009-2011), Member of the Spin Off Committee at Sapienza University of Rome (2009-2011), and Member of Board of Directors of the "Consorzio Università per Civitavecchia" (2009-2011). Coordinator and Responsible of local and national Research Projects funded by different Institutions as: CNR (National Council of Research), University, ISPESL (Institute for Safety and Prevention on Work), MIUR (Ministry of Education University and Research), MIPAAF (Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry), ASI (Italian Space Agency) and Industries. Author of ca. 200 papers published on international scientific journals with impact factor, 8 international book chapters, and 3 national books. Consulting Scopus database, his publications have more than 3700 citations and h-index 35. He is peer-reviewer for several international scientific journals of analytical and applied chemistry. He is member of the International Advisory Board of Analytical and Bionalytical Chemistry journal (springer) and Editor of Toxins (section Mycotoxins) journal (MDPI).
