Alessandro Lombardi

Biography

 I am a Digital Transformation Advisor and Architect at Microsoft, and I am especially focused on government, healthcare, smart cities, manufacturing. I am passionate about Blockchain technology and I am pioneering projects in this field. My work as Digital Advisor continuously challenges my technical, business, and team management skills and experience. Every day, I am exploring different cloud models and innovative IT operational models with my clients. It is inherently a continuous challenge. While I’m passionate about all technologies and managing teams, my academic background is in DBMS and cognitive computing. As former CTO in a web agency, I also have experience in the media industry, practice management, budgeting, and delivery of web and mobile solutions on several platforms. I’m experienced in Application Lifecycle Management, program and project management with agile methodologies. In the first years of my career I was focused instead on Java/J2EE technologies and on Open Source development.

I work with organizations to reimagine and transform their customer engagement, employee experiences, business models and operations, empowering them to reach their digital aspirations. My work as digital advisor (and previously as enterprise architect) is a fascinating mix of technical skills, business acumen, accounting and team management: is by default a continuous challenge.
