Biography
Giuseppe Iacomino is a senior and staff scientist at Istituto di Scienze dell'Alimentazione - Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR). He has over 20 years of experience in the fields of basic biochemistry, molecular and cell biology. In 1989 Giuseppe Iacomino got his Laurea degree cum laude in Biological Science at University of Naples and then a PhD in Biochemistry. He is specialised in Clinical Chemistry. From 1988 to 1990 he worked in the laboratories of Prof. Zappia (University of Naples), and from 1991 to 1997 in the laboratories of Prof. Cascino (University of Naples). He is a reviewer for several scientific journals. His main expertise is on the role of chromatin modifiers in controlling the transcriptionally activity. His recent research has focused, at molecular level, on different aspects of food from chemoprevention to diet-related diseases.
