Biography
Ulrich was member of the Board of Management of Bayer Schering Pharma AG until 2011. He was responsible for multiple regions globally - Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Japan and North America. Dr. Köstlin began his pharmaceutical career with Schering AG as a management trainee in 1982. Over the years, he served as General Manager for several subsidiaries of Schering AG across the globe, including from 1990 to 1993 as VP Sales and Marketing and General Manager Diagnostic Imaging of the US subsidiary. In 1994 Dr. Köstlin was appointed to the former Schering AG's Executive Board. He currently serves as Curator of the AREPO Foundation, Liechtenstein, Director on the Boards of Constantia Flexibles AG, Vienna and the Universitätklinikum Würzburg, Germany. Ulrich Köstlin was born in Stuttgart, Germany and studied law at the Universities of Erlangen and Tübingen in Germany, and Geneva in Switzerland. Ulrich Köstlin holds a Dr.iur. Doctorate from Tübingen University and a Master of Laws degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Ulrich is the chairman of the Company' Compensation and Nomination Committee. Ulrich is German.
