Biography
He was a co-founder of Okairos and served as the company’s Director of Immunology.Antonella’s experience includes the positions of Researcher and Group Leader at IRBM, where she initially contributed to disease-specific antigen discovery by phage displayed peptide and then led the work that characterized the role of T-cells in providing protective immunity against HCV. This work opened the path towards the development of genetic vaccines.Antonella has authored several scientific publications in journals such as Nature Medicine and the European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) journal on a range of subjects, including peptide phage display technology, immunology, viral infections and vaccines.Antonella received her degree in Biology and a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Rome, La Sapienza and conducted post-doctoral studies in immunology at the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology (IGBMC) in Strasbourg, France.
