Antonio Francesco Molinari DMPK&ART/Bioanalysis/Analytical Biology Unit Head Accelera Srl Position within Accelera: Head of the Analytical Biology Unit and Study Director for studies involving the quantification of biologically-derived drugs in biological matrices and the search for the presence of Anti-Drug Antibodies. Degree in Biology (University of Milano, 1976). Postdoctoral Degree in Experimental Pharmacology (University of Milano, 1983) Admission to the Italian State Register of Biologists (1985). Publication record includes Patents and >70 publications/communications. Professional Experience: Antonio Molinari is presently heading the Analytical Biology Unit at Accelera SrL. His current focus is on the development, optimization and validation of bioassays for biotechnology-derived pharmaceuticals to support both the preclinical and clinical phases of drug development. Antonio obtained his degree in Biology and then a degree in Experimental Pharmacology at the University of Milano (Italy), started his training in immunoassays development at the University of Milano and Bari (Italy) which then continued at the Hematology Department of Mayo Clinic (MN, USA) and at the International Training Center for Hemophilia and Thrombosis, Milano (Italy). Antonio began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in Bracco SpA (Investigator) and continued in Pierrel SpA (Investigator), Farmitalia Carlo Erba (Senior Investigator), Pharmacia, Pharmacia & Upjohn, Pharmacia Italia, Pfizer and Nerviano Medical Sciences (Laboratory Head). In those periods gained experience in biochemistry and in the development of bioassays for anticoagulant and fibrinolytic agents, protein kinases, phosphatases, ATP-ases, therapeutic peptides, proteins, muteins and chimeric constructs produced by recombinant DNA technology and also in their adaptation, miniaturization and robotization for HTS purposes.
