Lucia Aquilanti Assistant
Professor
Department of Nutritional, environmental and agricultural sci
Polytechnic University of Marche
Italy
Biography
She earned a PhD degree in Bio-molecular and Applied Sciences.Research activity focused on the direct detection of antibiotic resistance genes in specimens of chicken and pork meat, as well as isolation and molecular characterization of antibiotic resistant lactic acid bacteria from poultry and swine meat products
Research Interest
Her research interest includes study of innovative and traditional fermented foods, development, optimization and use of molecular tools (end-point PCR, real-time PCR; PCR-DGGE) for the study of microbial communities in environmental samples and fermented foods, molecular typing of food-borne and environmental microorganisms (RAPD, RFLP, inverse PCR, PFGE)
