Biography
Marco Arnesano is a PostDoctoral researcher within the Mechanical and Thermal Measurement Group in the DIISM. He graduated in Thermomechanical Engineering (cum laude) from Università Politecnica delle Marche in 2009 with a thesis entitled "Progettazione e sviluppo di un sistema di misura basato su tecnologia ad infrarossi per il monitoraggio delle condizioni termiche e del benessere termoigrometrico di un ambiente tipo ufficio". He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management from Università Politecnica delle Marche with a thesis entitled "Design of a comfort-based smart metering system for sport and recreational buildings". Prior to that, he worked as Quality Manager and Engineering Manager at the TecnoPlast Group (Moulding and assembly for household electrical appliances) and as Technical responsible at the E-ray (Photovoltaic plants).
Research Interest
Involved in the development of innovative systems and sensors for indoor environments monitoring and building management. Research interests include ICT for energy efficiency, thermal comfort, sensors, signal processing, thermodynamic simulation, software development. The research activity is mainly performed within several European projects.
