Biography
"I received the PhD in Computer Science and Automation in 2007 at the Roma Tre University, by defending the thesis ""Interdomain Routing Policies in the Internet: Inference and Analysis"". I am currently a researcher at the Department of Computer Science and Automation of the Roma Tre University. My research activity is mainly focused on Software-Defined Networking (SDN), routing data analysis, and interdomain routing in the Internet using BGP. In particular, my interests include novel architectures, protocols, and mechanisms that take advantage of the control plane flexibility introduced by SDN, methodologies to monitor the status of a network and infer information that can be useful during troubleshooting sessions, methodologies to analyze and prevent abnormal configurations leading to routing oscillations, tools for emulating networks, methods for the discovery of interdomain network topologies, and models for capturing routing policies that implement commercial agreements and traffic engineering requirements. I have also been working on techniques for non-intrusive network measurements and for improving security of information in RFID systems. I am one one of the main developers of the open source Netkit network emulation environment. "
