Biography
As an assistant professor of chemistry at Saint Louis University, I teach a mix of courses, from larger lecture formats to hands on laboratory settings. My dedication, as a teacher, is to provide my students dynamic, agile, and hands on experience in chemistry. I am determined for finding the means to reach out to students and engage them in the current learning environment, come ready to advance their thinking and explore their pool of interest in overall chemistry. In large lecture classes, with incorporations of newly available technologies, I encourage students to engage individually or within groups, to dive into discussions in major themes of lecture materials. In laboratory settings, along with my teaching assistants, I strive to narrow our lens by providing hands on experimental set-up, instrumental operations, and refining effective scientific communications. I strive to set high expectations for students in my classes and to personally guide their distinctive success and excellence in chemistry. I believe when you give the attention, motivation, and courage to a student it can drive them beyond their own expectations.
