Roberto Franceschi

Biography

Roberto Franceschi is a 35 year old Paediatric Endocrinologist and member of the Paediatric Diabetology team at S.Chiara Hospital of Trento (Italy). He faces thyroid diseases, growth problems, abnormal puberty development and adrenal diseases. Moreover he can manage different types of paediatric diseases when he is on call in the paediatric ward. He has been Clinical Fellow to Prof. Peter E Clayton for six months at the Department of Endocrinology “Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital” in Manchester. 1)LRP5 gene in patients with idiopathic juvenile osteoporosis 2)Polycystic ovary syndrome in young women who had idiopathic central precocious puberty. 3)Inhibin B and crypthorchidism 4)Ghrelin and precocious puberty. 5)Polymorphisms in estrogen receptor alpha and vitamin D receptor genes in precocious puberty. 6)Thyrotropin receptor gene mutations and TSH resistance.
