Carotenuto Ylenia is working as Researcher in Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn at Italy.
Research Interest
Diatomaceous-Copepod interaction, chemical ecology, reproduction and development, molecular biology, Next Generation Sequencing. My research interests are focused on the role of algae "info-chemicals" in pre-predatory planktonic interactions and in the functioning of ecosystems. In particular, I am interested in the effects of secondary metabolites produced by diatomea (ossilipine), on ingestion, reproduction, development and gene expression of copepods, and their role in the population dynamics of copepods.
