Biography
Catarina Pinto Reis, PhD, is currently Full Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology and Researcher in the School of Sciences and Health Technologies at the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (Lisbon, Portugal), Coordinator of PTT and Director for Innovation of the Center for Research in Biosciences and Health Technologies (CBIOS). Her doctoral studies were also undertaken at the University of Coimbra with several important national and international collaborations where she developed an interest in advanced drug delivery systems. Those studies have been recognized through a number of national prizes. She worked in the design and evaluation of nano- and microparticles for peptide drug and gene delivery and in cosmetics. She is author or co-author of several articles, book chapters and inventor of 3 patents.
