Since December 2010: Researcher in charge at the Department of Pharmacy of Federico II of Naples disciplinary scientific field CHIM / 03. TEACHING ACTIVITY Academic year 2012-2014: Teaching of the General Chemistry module for the degree program in Scientific Information on Drugs and Diagnostic Products at the Department of Pharmacy of "Federico II" in Naples. Academic Year 2014-2016: General Chemistry Teaching for the Degree in Nutraceutical Sciences at the Department of Pharmacy of Federico II in Naples. Academic Year 2016-2017: General Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry Course in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (CTF) at the Department of Pharmacy of Federico II in Naples. SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY Scientific activity lies in the design, synthesis and spectroscopic and structural characterization of biological molecules, such as bioactive peptides, functionalized with metallic ion complexes. 1) Development of Peptides functionalized with radioactive metal ions as biospecific probes for Nuclear Medicine diagnostic activity. 2) Development of supramolecular aggregates (micelles and liposomes) functionalized with peptides for selective vehicles of drugs and / or contrast media for magnetic resonance imaging. 3) Synthesis of nanostructures based on self-assembling of aromatic peptides for the preparation of new bioimaging systems Research has produced 65 publications on international journals, numerous proceedings and congressional communications. Moreover, dr. Accardo is inventor of 3 patents.
