Biography

Albrizio Stefania was born in Naples on June 25, 1966. He graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Naples Federico II, on 26/03/1990, with a vote of 110/110 and praise, discussing an experimental thesis in Organic Chemistry. This thesis was carried out during a two-year internship at the Department of Natural Chemistry in Naples. In July 1994: he obtained the title of PhD in Natural Pharmacologically Active Substances . From October 1994 to October 1999 he worked at the Department of Chemistry, University of Naples Federico II, and later at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Salerno, collaborating on research activities on synthesis and structural characterization of biologically active peptides. During this period she has a postgraduate scholarship and various professional and scientific consultancy contracts. On November 1, 1999, he served as a researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Naples Federico II as a researcher (SSD CHIM / 08), receiving the Department of Pharmacy and Toxicology Chemistry of the aforementioned University. On December 28, 2004 he served as full time associate professor (SSD CHIM / 08) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Naples Federico II.

Research Interest

Research topics of interest to Prof. Albrizio during her career: - isolation, structural characterization and study of biological activity of secondary metabolites from marine organisms; - study of bioactive peptide-activity relationships in order to determine the structural characteristics that determine their biological function, with particular attention to structural aspects and study of peptide conformation in solution. Current search themes: Monitoring xenobiotics, of different origin, in different matrices, alimentary and not, by developing new methods for their extraction, characterization and quantification. Validation of the analytical methods developed according to the parameters indicated in the main Official Guidelines. Study of nutraceutical components of animal and vegetable origin.
