Research Interest

Cosimelli's scientific activity has always been centered on heterogeneous systems: their design, synthesis, reactivity and structural determination through the use of spectroscopic techniques (NMR and mass); This kind of interest has also been coupled with the search for molecules of pharmaceutical interest. This activity has come to fruition in more than 80 publications on international high impact factors, 1 patent and numerous communications to national and international congresses. The main research lines that can be identified, relative to the period from 2002 to present: i) Synthesis, reactivity, activity-activity-relationship study of active molecules on the central receptor of benzodiazepines; (ii) synthesis, reactivity, structural-activity relationship of translocation protein ligand (TSPO) at mitochondrial level; iii) synthesis, reactivity, study of structure-activity relationship of antagonists and agonists for various adenosine receptors; iv) synthesis, reactivity, multinuclear magnetic resonance study and activity-activity relationship of active molecules on the cardiovascular system.
