Biography
Academic career Dr Simona De Marino graduated in Pharmacy in 1993 with a vote of 110 and praise. In 1998 he received the title of PhD in "Pharmacologically Active Natural Substances - X-Cycle", discussing a thesis titled "Isolation, structural delineation and biological activities of secondary metabolites from sea stars and sponges". From 12 October 1998 to 6 December 1998 she has been awarded a scientific collaboration agreement with the Department of Natural Chemistry of the University of Naples "Federico II". From July 28, 1999 to October 31, 1999 he has been awarded a Ph.D. Scholarship (9th Contest) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Naples "Federico II". In 1999 he specializes in Hospitality Pharmacy, bringing the vote of 50/50. Since November 1, 1999, following a competition for qualifications and examination, she has been appointed University Researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Naples "Federico II" (CHIM06-Chimica Organica), Department of Chemistry of Natural Substances. In 2013, Dr. De Marino obtained the National Scientific Ability for the Second Division Professor of Scientific Disciplinary Sector 03 / C1 (Organic Chemistry)
Research Interest
The research activity of Dr. De Marino is directed towards the Chemical of Natural Substances and is focused on three different themes: Chemical nature of marine and vegetable organic matter: identification, structural studies and biological activities Identification of new chemical entities of natural origin as modulators of nuclear receptors Design and synthesis of small molecules of significant therapeutic interest in hepatic and metabolic pathologies
