Biography
UNIVERSITY EDUCATION Degree in Pharmacy "summa cum laude"; PhD in Pharmaceutical Science (curriculum pharmacology). APPOINTMENT Associate Professor of Pharmacology, Department of Experimental Pharmacology, University of Naples "Federico II" RESEARCH INTERESTS He published about 90 papers and review articles, mainly concerning the pharmacology of inflammation and the mode of action of glucocorticoids, and the role of nitric oxide and its mutual interaction with prostaglandins in inflammation. He has also focused on the role of transcription factors such as nuclear factor-kappaB and Heat Shock Factor in inflammatory processes as well as on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying immunoinflammatory events in vascular pathologies such as restenosis and atherosclerosis.
