Biography
Professor Giuseppina Mattace Raso graduated in Pharmacy in 1991 with a 110/110 vote and praise at the University of Naples "Federico II". In 1993 he graduated from Pharmacology Specialist with 50/50 marks and praise. In 1996 he was the winner of a research fellowship of the Italian Society of Pharmacology. In 1997 he earned the title of Doctor of Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. In 1998 he was the winner of the competition for the biennial post-doctoral scholarship of Experimental Pharmacology at the University of Naples "Federico II". From April 1996 to December 1996 he attended the Institute of Immunology at the Ruprecht Karls Universitat in Heidelberg, led by Prof. S. Meuer. From February 1997 to November 1997 he attended the workshops of Dr. Regnier-Vigouroux of Neurobiology at the Ruprecht Karls Universitat in Heidelberg. In 2000 he was the winner of the competition for the conferment of collaborative checks on research activities in the field of endocrine immunopharmacology. In 2002 he became Researcher at the Department of Experimental Pharmacology at the University of Naples "Federico II". Currently Dr. Giuseppina Mattace Raso's research activity is still carried out at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Naples "Federico II" as associate professor. His scientific interest was mainly focused on immunopharmacology and endocrinopathology. In recent years, he has been involved in pharmacology of hormones, natural and synthetic products, immune and inflammatory processes on the effect of hypothyroidism on leptin and metabolic and body weight modification.
