Research Interest

- Evaluation of anti-inflammatory and antitumor activity of active substances of natural origin and synthesis with particular reference to the role played by "pro-inflammatory" transcription factors (NF-kB, STAT3) in order to identify possible new pharmacological targets in therapy of cancer. - Study of the involvement of hydrogen sulphide gasotrasmitter (H2S) in inflammatory processes and melanoma pathogenesis. - MicroRNA expression and function studies in the development and progression of melanoma.
