Biography
SANTAGADA VINCENZO,Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Department of Pharmacy, UNIVERSITIES' STUDIES OF NAPOLI FEDERICO II .
Research Interest
The research activity of prof. Santagada focuses on the design, synthesis and characterization of potentially active molecules on different pharmacological targets. Particular attention has been paid to the field of peptide and peptidomimetic synthesis, focusing on the endogenous callicrein system and the protease-activated receptors (PARs). Additional interests include the development of: (i) selective serotonin receptor ligands; ii) peptide molecules and small molecules acting on the sphingosine-1-phosphate pathway ; iii) and more recently, the development of new pharmacological tools useful to clarify the biological functions of H2S.
