Research Interest
The study of bioactive peptide-activity relationships is critical to the understanding of structural details underlying the specific interaction between biomolecules. Full compilation of the conformation through the combination of solution methods (mono and two-dimensional NMR) and solid state (X-ray diffraction on single crystal) of synthetic peptides designed at an ad hoc time allows for obtaining increasingly specific and selective compounds for the systems investigated. Recently, we are developing new peptide-specific target peptides that are suitably functionalized with variable-size and spaced-size idophobic quotients with linkers of different chemical gaps for the production of anphytic peptides capable of delivering drugs to be used both in therapy and in diagnosis.
