Biography

He graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences in 1990 with an experimental thesis entitled "observation on the morphogenesis of adrenal in anurans, turtles and chicken embryos". In October 1990 he won the contest as technical collaborator at the Department of Animal Biology and of man (Chair of Zoology) of the University of Rome "La Sapienza". He obtained the qualification to practice the profession of biologist in the year 1994. As technical collaborator has applied the main histological methods, istochimiche and immunohistochemistry, with the necessary modifications, in the research programs in which he participated or that are held in the Department. Many lines of research use of image analysis for which they are used specific equipment: the candidate has collaborated in the selection, installation and tuning of systems present in the Department of Animal Biology and of man, in the seat of Comparative Anatomy, the "Quantimet 500" (Leica), for image analysis to which was connected a computerized system for three-dimensional reconstruction of anatomical structures, and in the seat of Zoology The System "Lucia" (Nikon), for archiving and image analysis. Assists teachers and students in the processing of the images (acquired directly using a video camera connected to the analysis system, or processed using graphics programs for personal computer and then transferred, for processing, to the analysis system) and in the statistical treatment of results. Has the responsibility of the laboratories of Histology and photograph of the seat of Zoology of the Department of Animal Biology and of man and collaborates with the teachers in the training of students to the histological techniques, istochimiche immunohistochemical and necessary for the preparation of the thesis. In 2001 he won the competition for the post of Researcher for the grouping of competition ex BIO 02, now 05B1. In the same year is the owner of the course of "Animal Biology and vegetable" and President of the relevant examination Commission imparted to students of the Bachelor in "Technologies for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage", CLASS L43. From 2009 is responsible of the form "Animal Biology" relatively to the course "Laboratory for the study of materials of origin biology" imparted to students of the Bachelor in "Technologies for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage" CLASS L43, and a member of the relevant examination commission. He is a member of various committees of the examination of Zoology for students of Biological and Natural Sciences and is a member of the Joint Committee of the Council of Didactic Area in "Technologies for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage" and is a member of the Commission for Information Technology of the Didactics board in "Technologies for the conservation of cultural goods and the Webmaster of Didactics board in "Technologies for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage" and is a member of the Commission "bags of collaboration". Manages the relationships between the winners and the teachers of the seat of Zoology. Manages the web sites to support education relatively to the teaching of zoology.
