-experimental analysis of NOS expression in response to different stressors (physical, chemical and mechanical stimuli), in model species of teleosts and molluscs - cholinergic expression in fish acclimed to high temperature -molecular characterization and neuroanantomical distribution of alpha-synuclein in the CNS of model teleosts -expression of alpha-synuclein in the brain of non mammalian vertebrates Experimental approaches include: -NADPHd histochemistry and citochemistry -Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence -Immunogold TEM -Confocal microscopy -In situ hybridization -RT-PCR
