Ketmaier Valerio
Researcher
Department of Biology and biotechnology
University La Sapienza

Biography
He is currently a researcher at University of Rome (Sapienza), Rome, Italy. His education has been in the broad field of molecular systematics and population genetics. He is generally more interested in questions rather than organisms, which is why he has studied a variety of invertebrate and vertebrate taxa, from molluscs to arthropods, fish, reptiles, birds and mammals. He is particularly interested in understanding the evolutionary processes in isolated populations to infer current and historical processes at various temporal and spatial scales.
