Biography
Emanuela Schingaro, born in Bari on 9/9/1964, graduated from Physics at the University of Bari in 1990. Doctor of Earth Sciences Research in 1994. From February 1994 to September 2002 researcher (Geo / 06) at the Department of Geomineralism of the University of Bari. Since October 2002 he has been Associate Professor (Geo / 06) at the Department of Geomineralism of the University of Bari. Scientific activity is predominantly carried out in the context of crystallochemical characterization of silicates, with particular reference to titanium garnets and hypo-thorium-rich trio-rich mica. The crystalline chemistry experiment uses a combination of bulk techniques (electronic microsonde and X-ray diffraction on single crystal) and element-sensitive techniques (predominantly Mössbauer and XPS spectroscopy) and aims to derive the details of the electronic structure of transition elements and of the cationic distribution and the determination of the crystal-chemical-minerogenesis relationships. He is the holder of the teaching of Cristallochemica with a laboratory for the degree course in Materials Science.
